Bacardi Reserva Ocho 8 Años

Bacardi is a famous brand of rum, founded in Cuba and now based in Puerto Rico. The brand was founded in 1862 when Catalan-born wine merchant Facundo Bacardi Massó and his brother José set up a distillery in Santiago de Cuba. Facundo had previously pioneered charcoal filtration which, along with aging in white oak barrels, allowed him to produce what is generally considered to be the first white rum. Fruit bats lived in the rafters of the distillery, inspiring the company's logo.

The Gran Reserva Ocho is blended from rums between eight and 16 years of age. It also dates back to the earliest years of Bacardi, but was a private family bottling for many decades.

Reserva Ocho is a complex golden rum with a deep, layered and mellow flavor of dried fruits, spices and oaky vanilla.
