Castello Romitorio is an Italian wine estate situated in Montalcino. The estate is particularly renowned for its Brunello di Montalcino wines produced from the Sangiovese grape variety. The estate takes its name from the nearby castle constructed in the 12th Century, and was purchased by the artist Sandro Chia in 1984. Chia began a series of developments that included the planting of several plots of Sangiovese vines that same year.

Classic bright ruby red Sangiovese. The nose presents notes of flint, rose, black currant. On the palette the wine possesses elegant tannins which are perfectly balanced and integrated with the structure. This wine vibrates with energy and lingers demonstrating how even young Sangiovese can express silky depth yet maintaining it’s rustic Tuscan character.
