Chateau Petit Faurie De Soutard Grand Cru

The 8-hectare vineyard of Petit Faurie de Soutard is planted to 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Located just outside the picturesque village of Saint-Émilion, the terroir is clay, limestone, and sandy soils. The birth of Chateau Petit Faurie de Soutard dates back to 1851. As the name implies, this estate was previously part of the larger, neighboring vineyard of Chateau Soutard, until they were separated in 1851. In fact, these specific parcels were also part of another larger estate at one time, Chateau Faurie de Souchard. This is as you can see where Chateau Petit Faurie de Soutard gets its name from.


Medium bodied, fresh, bright, forward, with sweet and tart red fruits, licorice and a forward personality.
