Le Calvados Pays d’Auge VSOP

In Normandy, the passion shared by the last three generations of the Drouin family has been makin calvados. Curiosity, a sense of history and the value of meticulous craftmanship have enabled Christian Drouin Calvados to win more than 200 gold medals in spirits competitions.

Produced in the Pays d'Auge from bitter, bitter-sweet, sweet and sharp cider apples by double distillation in copper stills, VSOP is aged in small previously-used casks, including some former wine casks. The blend also contains some sprits aged in former fortified wine casks, adding further sweetness and complexity. VSOP thus offers an appetizing fruitiness over ripe apple flavors, combining smooth elegance with the first hints of spices.

Amber hue with copper highlights. Focused, inviting nose suggestive of ripe apple. The palate reveals a crisp, focused and fruity Calvados showing lovely balance and persistence.
