Domaine Henri Maire has been nestled in the Jura, a wine region in eastern France between Burgundy in the east and Switzerland in the west, since 1632. Founded by a man named, Maire, for over 300 years, generations of Maires succeeded one another, strengthening the Maison’s expertise. For Domaine Henri Maire, the “Path to Gold” is an initiation to the richness and diversity of Jura wines.

Mysterious wine, the Vin Jaune is a dry white wine produced in the Jura vineyard from Savagnin vines exclusively. Developing flavors of fresh walnut, baked apple and saffron, this wine unfolds the most important long lasting aromas in the world. With an interesting shape, the bottles have a capacity of 62cl and are called Clavelins. Perfect wine for ageing, the Vin Jaune cane be kept for several decades and has a very special place in the winemaking world. A legendary wine that any wine lover must try at least once in their life

This is a fine benchmark for the region, which wasn’t always true in the past: full gold in color, with ample bready, yeasty, mushroom aromatic intrigue. The palate in this case delivers what the nose promised with generosity and exuberance: it’s a big, bready mouthful with a clean, long, tangy and saliva-inducing finish.
