Domaine Henri Maire has been nestled in the Jura, a wine region in eastern France between Burgundy in the east and Switzerland in the west, since 1632. Founded by a man named, Maire, for over 300 years, generations of Maires succeeded one another, strengthening the Maison’s expertise. For Domaine Henri Maire, the “Path to Gold” is an initiation to the richness and diversity of Jura wines.
The particular elaboration of Vin de Paille and the aromas it develops make it a remarkable wine. Its bunches are selected with the greatest attention in order to retain only the most beautiful fruits. They are then left to dehydrate for several months in a dry and ventilated room.
A beautiful nose of ripe apricots, sweet grain, maple syrup, and lavender. The palate is sweet and luscious, with flavors of yellow raspberry, butterscotch, and marmalade, balanced by vibrant acids that linger on the long, clean, juicy lemon drop finish.
