Bodega Norton is an Argentian wine estate of Mendoza. Over the past 125 years, it has grown notoriety for its Malbec and Malbec-based red wines and today, is an interntionally well-known Argentine producer. The estate was founded in 1895 by Edmund Palmer Norton who imported vines from France. Since 1989, it has been owned by Austrian Gernot Langes-Swarovski of the famous cut-crystal company.

Perdriel is a small sub-region (20 kilometers 13 miles) south of the Argentine city of Mendoza at the foot of the Andes Mountains. It is home to some of Mendoza's oldest vineyards. Within the context of typically full-bodied Mendoza red wines, the Malbecs from Perdriel often show comparitive subtlety and refinement and a hallmark aroma of violets.

A ripe, succulent wine offering aromas of violets, spice and tobacco, leading to a round, mouth-filling palate, flavors of berry fruit and a persistent finish. Grapes for this wine come from a single vineyard situated at 950 metres above sea level, with vines aged between thirty and fifty years.
