Luigi Francoli is a historic Italian grappa producer rooted in a family tradition that dates back to 1875, with the modern distillery being founded by Luigi Francoli in 1951 in Ghemme, Piedmont. Today part of Fratelli Francoli Distillerie, the brand is known for crafting high-quality grappas and spirits that blend centuries-old artisan techniques with innovation and environmental stewardship.
Vitally aromatic grape varieties (Moscato and Brachetto) combine their generous notes of unmistakable freshness with the more mature, enveloping sensory traits imparted by oak ageing, creating a fascinating harmony of primary, secondary and tertiary aromas.
This aged grappa shows a golden-yellow color with subtle amber glints from its time in oak. On the nose it offers a complex aromatic bouquet combining floral and citrus hints from the Moscato with fruity red-berry tones of Brachetto, enriched by vanilla, honey and gentle nutty notes from wood ageing. On the palate it is velvety and refined, with a smooth texture and balanced interplay of fruit, spice and balsamic nuances, finishing long and elegant with a pleasant warmth and persistence.
