Marsovin is one of Malta’s best-established wineries, founded by Chevalier Anthony Cassar more than a century ago. What began as a small operation purchasing grapes from local farmers developed over successive generations into a modern winery with five private estates across Malta and Gozo. Today, the company is led by Jeremy Cassar, the founder’s great-grandson, and its historic cellars house more than 220 oak barrels used for ageing premium red wines.
Made from a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes all harvested from Marsovin’s Marnisi Estate in Marsaxlokk with Merlot being the dominant grape variety in the wine.
Antonin Noir shows generous aromas of ripe cherries, blackcurrants and blueberries, complemented by subtle notes of cedar, vanilla and spice from its time in French oak. The palate is smooth and well structured, with concentrated dark fruit, rounded tannins and a velvety texture. The finish is elegant and persistent, with the fruit and oak remaining well integrated.
