Garofoli is one of the oldest family-run wineries in Italy, founded in 1871 in the Marche region by the Garofoli family, who still manage it today across multiple generations. Based in the heart of the Castelli di Jesi. Garofoli combines deep tradition with modern winemaking techniques, producing a wide range of wines from both Verdicchio and Montepulciano, and is widely regarded as a benchmark producer in the Marche for quality, consistency, and long-lived white wines.
Kerria is produced from 100% Lacrima grapes grown in the Marche hills around Morro d’Alba. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel with a relatively short maceration on the skins (around 5–6 days) to preserve the grape’s highly aromatic character and soft tannin profile.
In the glass, Kerria shows an intensely aromatic and lifted profile, with pronounced notes of rose petals and violet - hallmarks of the Lacrima variety. Fresh red fruits such as cherry, raspberry, and blackberry. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with vibrant freshness, light to moderate tannins, and a soft, approachable structure. The finish is clean and fragrant, echoing floral tones with a subtle spicy and earthy nuance, making it both expressive and highly drinkable in its youth.
