Château La Dauphine 6Ltr

Le Château de La Dauphine, owned by the Labrune family, is the 2nd largest vineyard of Fronsac with around 52 ha (130 acres). The name is linked with royalty: Marie-Josèphe de Saxe, Dauphine of France so princess, stayed at the estate in the 18th century. She was the mother of one of the last kings of France, Louis XVI.
The 53-hectare vineyard of Chateau de La Dauphine is planted to 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. Located on the top of the Fronsac plateau, they have an elevation of 60 meters, making them one of the highest points in the appellation. The terroir is clay, limestone, and sand soils on the plateau. 

Château La Dauphine 2023 is a vibrant and polished Fronsac with aromas of black cherry, plum, blackberry, violet, cocoa, and subtle spice. The palate is supple yet structured, showing ripe dark fruit, fine tannins, and a fresh limestone-driven minerality that brings lift and precision. The finish is long and elegant, with lingering floral notes, cocoa, and a slightly saline freshness.
