Macula Taurasi

Vini Vernice is a small artisan winery based in Campania, focused on producing limited-batch wines from native regional grape varieties. The producer works mainly with traditional Campanian grapes, including some lesser-known local varieties, aiming to preserve and highlight the area’s viticultural heritage. Their wines are typically terroir-driven, coming from inland volcanic and hilly vineyards, and are made in relatively small quantities with a modern but region-respecting approach.

Deep ruby to garnet colour with ageing potential, this Taurasi shows an intense and complex nose with dark cherry, blackberry, and plum, layered with dried violet, tobacco, leather, and subtle earthy notes. With time in glass or oak influence, additional aromas of spice, cocoa, licorice, and balsamic hints may develop. On the palate it is structured and powerful, with firm but refined tannins, good acidity typical of Aglianico, and a full-bodied, layered texture. The finish is long and persistent, combining dark fruit, spice, and mineral undertones with a slightly smoky, volcanic edge characteristic of Taurasi from Irpinia.
