Glenfiddich 16YO Aston Martin Edition

Glenfiddich is a renowned single malt whisky distillery in Dufftown, Scotland. Glenfiddich means "valley of the deer" in Gaelic. The Glenfiddich distillery was founded in 1886 by William Grant. Glenfiddich single malt is one of the most successful and well-known whisky brands in the world. In the 1920s, with prohibition in force in the US, Glenfiddich was one of a very small number of distilleries to increase production. This put them in a strong position to meet the sudden rise in demand for fine aged whiskies that came with the repeal of prohibition.

Limited-edition Speyside single malt Scotch whisky created through the collaboration between Glenfiddich and the Aston Martin Formula One Team. Matured for 16 years and bottled at 43% ABV, it is aged exclusively in American oak casks, including virgin American oak, second-fill bourbon barrels, and American oak wine casks. This maturation style gives the whisky a richer oak influence while preserving Glenfiddich’s signature fruity Speyside character.

On the nose, the whisky opens with honey, maple syrup, caramelized ginger, vanilla, and sweet oak, followed by orchard fruits such as pear, peach, apricot, and green apple. The palate is silky and medium-bodied, offering layers of fresh fruit salad, Chantilly cream, toffee, caramel, cinnamon, and soft baking spices, balanced by gentle oak tannins and hints of almond and chocolate. The finish is smooth and moderately long, lingering with sweet spice, candied ginger, caramel, walnuts, and polished oak.
