Clase Azul Mezcal Guerrero

Tequila Clase Azul is an ultra-premium and luxury tequila & mezcal brand distilled in Jalisco, Mexico. Clase Azul was launched in 1997 by founder Arturo Lomeli who grew up in Guadalajara from which where tequila originates. After experimenting with a variety of ventures, Lomeli released the first Clase Azul to market in 2000. All Clase Azul are bottled in hand-painted and hand-sculptured decanters.

Clase Azul Mezcal Guerrero is an artisanal mezcal crafted from Papalote agave, a variety native to the humid mountain region of Guerrero in southern Mexico. The use of this distinctive local agave gives the mezcal a character closely connected to the landscape and traditional mezcal-making heritage of Guerrero. The spirit is presented crystal clear with subtle straw-coloured reflections and a notably full body.

The aroma is complex and distinctive, opening with grapefruit zest, freshly cut wood, rosemary and toasted peanuts, accompanied by delicate nuances of butter and floral notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied and expressive, revealing freshly cut wood, subtle maritime notes, fresh lemon juice and pepper, followed by light touches of tobacco that add depth to the finish.
