A Carmenere

Viña Vik is a Chilean wine producer, located in the Cachapoal Valley. The company was founded in 2004, by Norwegian entrepreneurs Carrie Vik and Alex Vik. Vik vineyards are located amongst the foothills of the Andes mountains and are planted across 12 small valleys creating multiple microclimates and terroirs. 808 acres (327 ha) of company vineyards are grown there to a combination of international grape varieties. Located between the Pacific Ocean and the snow-topped mountains, year-round cool temperatures allows for grapes to ripen whilst retaining acidity levels.

The VIK “A” concept reflects producer's will to express each variety through terroir in a place that is itself unique. These plots reveal the pure expression of Carmenere from Millahue, with its joyfully deep color and cobalt hues that seduce the gaze.

Elegant aromas gift us black fruit like blackberries and plums and spicy notes that generate a sound in the imagination that goes beyond pleasure to transcend. The mouth delivers fine-grained, rounded tannins and an expressive and abundant body without being heavy. Meanwhile, the acidity lends dynamism.

Made with 85% Carmenere, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Syrah.
