Aelya Verdicchio di Matelica

Garofoli is one of the oldest family-run wineries in Italy, founded in 1871 in the Marche region by the Garofoli family, who still manage it today across multiple generations. Based in the heart of the Castelli di Jesi. Garofoli combines deep tradition with modern winemaking techniques, producing a wide range of wines from both Verdicchio and Montepulciano, and is widely regarded as a benchmark producer in the Marche for quality, consistency, and long-lived white wines.

Aelya is produced from 100% Verdicchio grapes grown in the inland valley of Matelica, where higher altitude and continental climate enhance structure and acidity. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel to preserve freshness and varietal definition. 

Bright and focused aromatic profile, with notes of green apple, pear, and citrus alongside white flowers and a characteristic almond nuance. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with crisp acidity and a pronounced mineral backbone, reflecting the cooler inland terroir. Flavors of lemon zest, fresh herbs, and subtle saline touches lead into a clean, persistent finish, where freshness and structure are balanced by a delicate, slightly nutty complexity typical of Verdicchio
