Ardbeg Smoketrails The Ultimate Manzanilla

Ardbeg was officially established by the MacDougall family in 1815, the same year as Laphroaig came into official existence a few miles along the road. Like its fellow southern Ileachs, Laphroaig and Lagavulin, Ardbeg is heavily peated, with a turfy smoke and sea-spray character predominant in most bottlings.

Ardbeg Smoketrails is a highly collectible series of limited edition whiskies. The first in the series – Ardbeg Smoketrails Manzanilla Edition – marries whisky aged in the finest Manzanilla sherry casks and classic Ardbeg American oak casks. 

Pale gold color. Deep, pungent flavors take to the air, a curious combination of tar, saddle soap, pine resin and Brazil nuts. A very aromatic whisky, with lovely herbal notes.
