PIN

La Spinetta is an Italian wine producer making wines predominantly in Piedmont. In the beginning of the 1960s, Giuseppe Rivetti, nicknamed ‘Pin’, and his wife, Lidia, were both expert and dedicated farmers with enormous appreciation and knowledge for tradition while keeping a curious interest in the future. La Spinetta's vineyards have older vines, usually at least 35 years of age. Extensive green harvesting keeps yields low and maximizes quality, and often allows La Spinetta to pick a week or so earlier than its neighbors.

A postcard from Piedmont to express the love for land, an affection that Giuseppe Rivetti, known as “Pin”, taught his sons Carlo, Bruno and Giorgio. The synergy between Barbera and Nebbiolo results in a bouquet of fruit, flowers, and spices. The balance between tannins and acidity makes this wine a perfect companion for food.

Ruby red color. Hints of ripe red fruit, lavender and licorice on the nose. On the palate it is fresh and silky, with elegant notes of pomegranate and underbrush. The finish is long and generous.
