Bellevoye Purple Finition Prune

Bellevoye bears the name of a road, the least traveled by, a path that one barely sees and that carries the promise of dawn, a destination shaped like a dream. Jean and Alexandre, founders, designed this dream, placing their faith at the very heart of it, faith in the strength of their culture and country, France. They have made this dream come true with a crazy and audacious bet. It was born from a will to create, innovate, and push the boundaries: producing a great French whisky, with all of skills and know-how, terroirs and raw materials.

Bellevoye Purple Finition Prune is a whisky made from the blend of three single malt whiskies aged in oak barrels for three to eight years. The whisky then finished aging in old plum casks for 6 months. This delicate combination of malted barley and plum gives this whisky a very intense fruity nose and an abundantly gourmet and refreshing palate.

The nose is largely dominated by a myriad of yellow and white fruits. The plum takes pride of place in this fruit basket composed of mirabelle plums, apricots, peaches and pears. The palate is fleshy with firm flesh, slightly acidic and fruity flavors. It evokes the crunch of freshly picked plums. The finish is long and persistent with notes of almonds and stewed fruits.
