Cusumano wines come from premium sites all over Sicily, and are produced at the Partinico (straight west of Palermo) based family winery by third generation. Crafting wines of the ‘new’ Sicily typified by outstanding varietal expression, rich flavors, and a sensuality that could only be born under the Sicilian sun.

Benuara di Cusumano is composed of 70% Nero d'Avola and 30% Syrah. It is produced in the Presti e Pegni estate in Monreale, in the Palermo area. The sun shines here from dawn to dusk, ensuring optimal ripening of the grapes. Harvesting is manual. It begins with Syrah at the end of August, continuing with Nero d'Avola at the end of September.

Named for the small, red flowers that grow near the Cusumano vineyard, this rustic red wine has a luscious aroma of blackberry and raspberry jam, with lingering red fruit and spice on the palate.
