Based in Appledore, Kent, the original Gusbourne estate dates back to 1410. In 2004, Andrew Weeber took over the estate with a clear vision and a single goal: to create English Still & Sparkling Wines that would stand up alongside the very finest offerings from across the globe. Only the best quality fruit is harvested, all hand-picked by skilled vineyard team. Gusbourne’s unique terroirs and mild microclimates add their own depth and complexity. Under Chief Vineyard Manager, Jon Pollard, careful stewardship, the combination of site, soil and precision in the vineyards means that only the best grapes are used in winemaking.

An elegant single-vineyard Pinot Noir from the Boot Hill Vineyard. Made from 100% Pinot Noir, the grapes undergo a short cold soak before fermentation on skins to extract colour and aromatics. After fermentation, the wine is transferred to French oak barriques and puncheons and aged for approximately 10 months in French oak (around 40% new oak), allowing the wine to develop structure, spice and complexity while maintaining the purity and freshness typical of cool-climate English Pinot Noir.

Medium ruby in colour, the wine shows expressive aromas of morello cherry, raspberry and bramble fruits layered with sweet spice, subtle toasted notes and a hint of milk chocolate. The palate is elegant and concentrated with flavours of plum, blackberry, juicy strawberry and red cherry, complemented by dried herbs, gentle spice and a delicate smoky mineral character. Silky tannins and vibrant acidity provide balance and structure, leading to a long, refined and precise finish.
