Bushmills 21YO

Bushmills is a small town on the north coast of County Antrim in Northern Ireland. It is best known for the Bushmills whiskey distillery, which has been producing Irish whiskey since 1608. The distillery uses two kinds of malt, one unpeated and one slightly peated. Triple distillation is done since the 1930s. Uunique aspect of the Bushmills Distillery is that malt distilling, blending, maturation and bottling are all carried out on the same site.

Bushmills Malt 21 Year Old is an extremely rare single malt Irish whiskey. Only a very limited number of bottles are available each year. It is matured in three different types of casks. The whiskey is first aged in American bourbon barrels and Spanish Oloroso sherry casks for 19 years and upwards. The malt whiskey is then vatted and married for another 2 years in Madeira drums.

Deep rich flavours of dark chocolate and toffee precede notes of vanilla sweetness, toasted nuts and just a hint of charred oak.
