Chateau Doisy Daene

Château Doisy-Daëne is an esteemed estate known for its sweet white wines, located in the Barsac commune within Bordeaux. It is a Grand Cru Classé Second Growth under the classification of 1855, which took place in Sauternes and Barsac at the same time as the famous classification of the Médoc and Graves. The estate makes three wines from 18 hectares (45 acres) of vineyard. These are planted mostly to Semillon, with a small portion of Sauvignon Blanc.

Pale golden in color. Honeyed aromas have pineapple and mango fruit notes with honeysuckle perfume. The wine is very sweet with the sugar being balanced by good fresh, mineral acidity. The mid-palate is honeyed and quite full-bodied. There are attractive honeysuckle perfumes with marzipan notes on the long honeyed finish.
