Carpineto is an Italian producer with several estates across highly regarded Tuscan DOCG regions. It was founded in 1967 by Giovanni Carlo Sachet and Antonio Mario Zaccheo with the aim of being a high-quality Chianti Classico producer. Carpineto is the story of two friends and their families, united by a common love for Sangiovese Grape and a strong desire to partake in Tuscany’s wine renaissance. Today, families work together managing 5 estates, 500 hectares of land, all sustainably farmed, and wines are produced in carbon neutral wineries, are vegan friendly. Carpineto wines are the result of advanced scientific and enological processes and techniques which respect the territorial integrity of the land.

Poggio Sant' Enrico is composed of two vineyards: Poggio Sant’Enrico Piccolo, planted in 1978 and Poggio Sant’Enrico Grande, planted in 1995. Both vineyards are enjoying southern exposure on rolling hillsides and are entirely planted with Sangiovese.

Bold and intense, this mature wine shows pronounced black fruit aromas, combined with ripe plum, black pepper, walnuts and a hint of black pepper. With great intensity of color and flavor, the fine integrated tannins underpin the complex palate and lead to a long and powerful finish.
