Tenuta Enza La Fauci lies on the foothills of the Peloritani mountain range in the district of Messina, Sicily. The 3 hectare vineyard at an altitude of 330m is facing the Tyrrhenian Sea. Part of the Faro DOC, these vineyards are home to some excellent wines. This area of production has strong Mistral-like winds that encourage hearty grape growth, which help produce wines are bold but still elegant. Of all the Sicilian denominations, Faro DOC is perhaps the one that is giving the biggest surprises in terms of elegance and expressiveness.
Made from indigenous Zibibbo clones from Messina, “Case Bianche” is a golden and bright straw yellow wine that on the nose expresses intense notes of fresh rose, peach and citrus, along with a Mediterranean scrub feel and sea spray, revealing a smooth and mineral mouthfeel, savory and with a persistent freshness.
