The Domaine Courtault Michelet is located north-west of Chablis, in Lignorelles. This family estate exploits 28 ha and offers the 4 appellations of Chablis as well as a Bourgogne Epineuil Côte de Grisey. During two generations, Domaine planted all their plots of vines, except the Vieilles Vignes (60 years old). Sustainable vine-growing and the preservation of the environment has always guided them in their choices regarding the management of vineyards.
Entering an attractive early-mature phase today, with the cooler, classic vintage retaining freshness while the magnum format keeps the wine youthful and precise: expect aromas of lemon confit, green apple, white blossom and crushed oyster shell evolving into subtle notes of almond, beeswax and flint, while the palate should balance taut citrus and saline chalkiness with a slightly broader, softer texture than in youth, finishing long, mineral and quietly smoky with excellent tension still intact.
