The Domaine Courtault Michelet is located north-west of Chablis, in Lignorelles. This family estate exploits 28 ha and offers the 4 appellations of Chablis as well as a Bourgogne Epineuil Côte de Grisey. During two generations, Domaine planted all their plots of vines, except the Vieilles Vignes (60 years old). Sustainable vine-growing and the preservation of the environment has always guided them in their choices regarding the management of vineyards.
Epineuil is a small village located near the town of Tonnerre, 20 km far east from Chablis. “Côte de Grisey” is slope facing south-east, with a wonderful limestone terroir; as place is very steep with thin soil, roots of the vines grow directly into the limestone, giving lots of characters to the wine.
Ruby appearance. Nice nose with aromas of small, red fruits, mostly cherry. Excellent body structure, taste and aromas of fruit, accompanied by soft tannins, giving the wine a beautiful balance.
