Domaine Nathalie & Gilles Fèvre is a family-run wine estate in Chablis, Burgundy (France), with deep roots dating back to 1745 and officially established under its current name in 2004 by Nathalie and Gilles Fèvre, both trained oenologists. The domaine farms around 50–53 hectares of vineyards on classic Kimmeridgian limestone soils. Their style is defined by fresh, precise, mineral-driven Chardonnay with emphasis on terroir expression and purity, using mostly stainless-steel vinification with minimal oak influence and sustainable viticulture practices.
Vaulorent is the southernmost vineyard of the wider Fourchaume set of vineyards and is the only Chablis Premier Cru vineyard located on the same hill formation as the Chablis Grand Crus. The Chardonnay-based wines made here are widely considered to be some of the best of the Chablis Premier Cru wines, giving a powerful, elegant style of wine with Chablis' classic mineral characteristics.
The 2014 Vaulorent shows a precise, mineral-driven profile with aromas of lemon, citrus peel, flint and sea spray. The palate is fresh and vibrant, with crisp acidity, fine structure and a pronounced saline character. Notes of citrus and wet stone carry through to a long, focused finish, with subtle maritime nuances adding complexity.
