Château Beychevelle is a well-regarded wine estate based in the Saint-Julien appellation of Bordeaux's northern Haut-Médoc wine region, on the left bank of the Gironde estuary. The Beychevelle vineyard covers 90 hectares (222 acres) of deep Garonne gravel, with 62 percent planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, which is dominant in the wine itself.
Ever since it was first produced and down through the various vintages, Château Beychevelle has reflected the elegance and finesse of Saint Julien's finest terroirs. Graceful and complex, with a tremendous aromatic richness, Château Beychevelle is made from the best plots in the vineyard and undergoes a rigorous selection process. It reveals its character after about ten years, and can be kept for several decades, depending on the vintage.
Beychevelle 2018 can be characterized by two words: Harmony and Concentration. This vintage presents a balance rarely achieved at this stage. A bouquet of well-ripened red and black fruit invites us to sample the intense, harmonious palate. Very silky tannins accompanied by fruit bursting with freshness and concentration. 2018 will join the list of Château Beychevelle’s truly exceptional vintages.
