Château Clerc Milon is a wine estate in the Pauillac appellation of the Haut-Médoc region north of Bordeaux. It was rated a fifth growth in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc and Graves. Clerc Milon's Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant wine is known for its supple texture and is regarded as something of a bargain for the appellation. The Clerc Milon vineyard also benefits from the close proximity of the estuary, whose large body of water helps to moderate the local climate. In 1970, Baron Philippe de Rothschild of Mouton Rothschild bought the property which has been extended and continuously improved over succeeding decades. The label's two dancers represent a 17th Century work in gold and precious stones displayed at the Museum of Wine in Art at Château Mouton Rothschild.

The wine has a deep, dark & virtually opaque ruby-red color. Aromas of coffee & cedar overlay juicy black-cherry & blackberry fruits on the nose,. The dark fruit on the palate is quite concentrated & closed up with coffee notes dominating black licorice. The wine is medium to full bodied & the alcohol is a touch warming on the mid-palate. The finish is structured & a little drying at present.

This 3L bottle comes with its own wooden box.
