Château Dassault is a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé wine estate located just north of the town of Saint-Emilion, in the Bordeaux wine region. The estate was formerly known as Château Couperie and its name was changed following its acquisition by French aviation billionaire Serge Dassault in 1955. Château Dassault vineyards cover just over 24 hectares (60 acres) on the northern hillsides of the Saint-Émilion plateau. These slopes are composed largely of sand and limestone soils and are primarily planted to Merlot.
Lots of ripe fruit on the nose, ranging from plum to cherry, blackberry to blackcurrant, dried red flowers with hints of minerals and dark spices. Palate is warm and soft, rich and enveloping, the tannin is velvety and the finish very long.
