Chateau De Sales

Château de Sales is a Bordeaux producer and the largest estate in the Pomerol appellation. It produces Merlot-dominant blends with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The soils are mostly sandy mixed with fine gravel and patches of clay. De Sales' vineyard is planted roughly 70 percent to Merlot with the rest planted to equal amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 De Sales rocks up with expressive blackberries and black cherries notes with an undercurrent of tilled soil, truffles and mossy bark. Medium to full-bodied, it has a solid structure of ripe, rounded tannins and impressive freshness, finishing with bright black fruit layers.
