Château Haut Maillet

The Estager family owns three beautiful Pomerol chateaux; Château Haut-Maillet, Château La Cabanne and Château Plincette. They also own several properties in Saint-Emilion and Bordeaux. The family has been growing wine in these areas since 1934.

Château Haut-Maillet castle is just 5 hectares and is centrally located in Pomerol. The castle's history goes back 200 years and the vines are on average 25 years old. Château Haut-Maillet has very distinguished neighbors such as Vieux Château Certan, Château Cheval-Blanc and Château Nénin. The Estager family takes pride in producing a traditional Pomerol at affordable and stable prices and the wine has therefore also gained a large and loyal fan base worldwide.

Charming, and chocolate-y, the sweetness along with vibrancy to the fruits on the rounded, supple palate works together here. Forward, fruity, and with a sprig of chocolate mint in the finish. Great ageing potential.
