Chateau Phelan Segur Magnum

Château Phélan Ségur is a wine estate in the Saint-Estèphe region of the Medoc, northern Bordeaux. The grand vin is typically composed of 50 to 65 percent Cabernet Sauvignon with the remainder made up from Merlot. It is regarded as one of the better estates omitted from the 1855 Bordeaux Classification. It belongs to the Union des Grand Crus de Bordeaux, and is classified in the Place de Bordeaux in the category of "Grand Crus Classés et assimilés (and equivalents)".

Château Phélan Ségur 2023 is a refined and energetic Saint-Estèphe with aromas of cassis, blackberry, black cherry, violet, graphite, mint, and subtle cedar and spice notes. The palate is structured yet polished, showing ripe dark fruit, vivid freshness, and finely woven tannins supported by a strong mineral backbone. The finish is long and elegant, with lingering blackcurrant, floral lift, and a classic saline, pencil-shaving character that gives the wine both precision and ageing potential.
