Château Troplong Mondot

Château Troplong Mondot is a producer located on the hills of Saint-Émilion, on the right bank of the Gironde in Bordeaux. Typically for the region, Merlot is the dominant grape variety. Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc are also used in smaller proportions. Starting with the 2017 vintage, the style of Troplong Mondot went through a complete change. The estate began harvesting earlier, reducing the amount of new oak, and winemaking techniques were also modified. The wine is now fresher, less concentrated, and offers more of a classic profile. 

Concentrated, full-bodied, deep and opulently textured, there is a beautiful sense of elegance and balance here. There is richness, power but also symmetry. The purity in the fruit, along with its freshness stand out as one of the keynotes of its character.
