Clase Azul Mezcal San Luis

Tequila Clase Azul is an ultra-premium and luxury tequila & mezcal brand distilled in Jalisco, Mexico. Clase Azul was launched in 1997 by founder Arturo Lomeli who grew up in Guadalajara from which where tequila originates. After experimenting with a variety of ventures, Lomeli released the first Clase Azul to market in 2000. All Clase Azul are bottled in hand-painted and hand-sculptured decanters.

Clase Azul Mezcal San Luis Potosí is crafted from green agave, a variety native to the desert landscapes of the Mexican state of San Luis Potosí. The mezcal reflects the distinctive character of the region’s arid valleys and slopes, producing a full-bodied spirit with a particularly herbal and mineral profile. Unlike many mezcals that are dominated by smoke, this expression places greater emphasis on the natural vegetal character of the agave and the terroir of San Luis Potosí.

The aroma reveals cooked agave, caramel, green chile, sweet fruit and freshly cut grass, complemented by delicate notes of wildflowers. The palate opens with a pronounced herbal character, followed by hints of caramel, lime zest and clove. A mineral and gently spicy aftertaste provides a distinctive, persistent finish.
