Clos Rene

Situated on the western side of the appellation of Pomerol on the Right Bank of Bordeaux, Clos René dates back to the mid-18th century, when it was called Clos Reney. The estate is currently owned by the Garde and Laserre families, and managed by Jean-Marie Garde. Clos René expands over 18 hectares of vines, around 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 10% Malbec. This proportion also reflects the blend of the estate's signature wine. The vines grow in deep gravel and sand soils, layered over clay subsoils. The Clos René vineyards are managed through a sustainable and environmentally friendly approach. 

Silky, fresh, supple, medium-bodied, elegant, cherry, and plum filled wine with a spicy, savory edge to the lush, sweet, ripe, chocolate-coated berries on the palate and in the finish.
