Vitteaut Alberti is a family-run Crémant de Bourgogne house based in Rully, Burgundy, known for crafting elegant traditional-method sparkling wines that balance freshness, finesse, and regional character. Founded in 1951, the producer specializes in Chardonnay- and Pinot Noir–based cuvées sourced from carefully selected vineyards across Burgundy.
Cuvée Gerard is a prestige cuvée from the house, crafted as a traditional-method Crémant de Bourgogne from a blend of Chardonnay, Aligoté, and Pinot Noir sourced in the Côte Chalonnaise and Côte de Beaune, with partial oak vinification and extended bottle ageing.
In the glass, it shows an intense golden hue with fine, persistent bubbles; the nose is expressive and slightly woody, layered with notes of orange blossom, citrus marmalade, and subtle compote, while the palate opens clean, lively, and fresh before broadening into a more vinous, rounded texture with hints of candied fruit, gentle warmth, and a long, structured finish—overall a characterful, powerful yet balanced sparkling wine that combines freshness with richness and complexity.
