Distillery Label Ardmore 19YO

Gordon & MacPhail is a historic Scottish whisky company founded in 1895 in Elgin and is widely regarded as one of the world’s most prestigious independent bottlers of Scotch whisky, known for sourcing spirit from many distilleries, maturing it in their own casks for long periods, and releasing rare and highly sought-after single malts that often don’t appear in official distillery ranges.

Bottled as a part of G&M Distillery Labels series, this golden expression hails from Ardmore distillery in the Highlands. The single malt whisky was matured for 19 years in specially chosen casks, and bottled at 46% abv.

Sweet apples, berries, toffee, cake spices, lemon peel, sweet smoke and ginger shape the nose, while the palate brings raspberry coulis, peppercorn warmth, toasted oak, woody smoke, orange peel and vanilla, before an elegant finish that lingers with dried fruits such as prunes, sultanas and soft spice.
