Dom Pérignon is a celebrated Champagne brand owned by Moët & Chandon. The 17th-Century Benedictine monk Dom Pierre Pérignon is credited with its invention after taking up the position as the abbey's cellarer and procurator in 1668. Each vintage of Dom Pérignon is unique, with grapes sourced from only the best vineyards in Champagne. Dom Pérignon is only available as a vintage champagne and is only produced in exceptional years. Each vintage is a creation, singular and unique, that expresses both the character of the year, and the character of Dom Pérignon. Both Moët & Chandon and Dom Pérignon are now part of the LVMH group.
Dom Pérignon 2015 is a generous, sun-ripened vintage showing a notably open and expressive profile compared to more tension-driven years. On the nose it leans into ripe stone fruit—white peach, apricot, and baked apple—layered with tropical hints, citrus oil, and subtle floral tones. As it opens, richer autolytic notes emerge: brioche, toasted almond, and light pastry cream, along with a gentle smokiness. The palate is broad and supple, driven by the warmth of the vintage, with juicy fruit at the core and a creamy mousse that gives it a rounded, almost silky texture. Acidity is present but more cushioned than sharp, providing balance rather than angularity, while a faint saline, chalky minerality on the finish keeps it from feeling heavy.
