Teliani Valley Winery is currently one of the top producers of quality Georgian wine. Established in 1997 on the site of a 19th century winery in Teliani village, its first vintage was released in 2000. Wines offer a great quality to price ratio and has received the highest Wine Spectator ratings of Georgian wines to date. A large producer by Georgian standards producing over 2 million bottles a year. Their modern wine making facilities are located in east Georgia in the Kakheti Appellation. Very approachable wines for the novice Georgian wine drinker yet the wines maintain unique a Georgian character. All wines imported utilize indigenous Georgian varietals.
This wine is made from 100% Kisi, which is a native Georgian variety, with the Georgian traditional method, fermented in Qvevri.
Skin contact gives the wine its distinctive amber color, and delivers pronounced flavor of apricot, dried yellow fruits, spices and honey. Pleasant tannins and acidity, level off into a great dry finish.
Untreated, unfiltered and may have natural sediments.
