Highland Park 14YO Land of Orkney

For more than two centuries, Highland Park has been distilling whisky unique to the windswept wilds of Orkney — an archipelago of some 70 islands, characterised by rich pastures, a temperate microclimate, and heathery peat. Highland Park’s particular peat, cut from the distillery’s own grounds, is part of what lends the whisky its characteristically soft smoke, and honeyed sweetness – imbuing the spirit with the very earth of Orkney.

Travel retail-exclusive single malt Scotch matured primarily in first-fill sherry-seasoned American oak casks with additional refill casks for balance. The whisky reflects Highland Park’s signature style — balancing honeyed sweetness, aromatic heather peat smoke, and gentle maritime character inspired by the rugged Orkney landscape. 

The nose opens with sweet vanilla crème brûlée, baked apples, honey, dried fruit, and subtle Orkney heather peat smoke, alongside hints of cinnamon and sea salt. On the palate, the whisky is smooth and lightly rich, offering flavors of caramel, raisins, sweet malt, nutmeg, spiced oak, and soft orchard fruits layered with delicate smokiness. The finish is medium to long, warming and balanced, lingering with gentle peat smoke, heather honey, soft spice, and a touch of maritime salinity.
