Ilatraia

Brancaia is a Tuscan estate known for its wines from the Chianti Classico zone and from the Maremma region. Has been owned by the Swiss couple Brigitte and Bruno Widmer since 1981. Brancaia is a critically acclaimed producer, known for the high quality of its wines as well as its distinctive modern labels. Both wineries in Chinati and Maremma zone are using gravity-fed processes during the fermentation. 

Ilatraia is a wine of great structure, freshness and elegance. It shows a perfect balance between maturity and refinement. This wine of excellence from the Maremma area feels extremely velvety with pleasant tannins, typical of the wines of the Tuscan coast. The name Ilatraia has been the name of one of the hills of winery for centuries, today the vineyard of estate's best Petit Verdot.

Precious and extremely intense nose with blackberries and cassis, violet violets, chervil, dense mineral baggage, touches of powder, balsamic breath and hints of noble vegetable sensations. Mouth of disruptive dynamism, enveloping and warm, made sinuous by elegant tannins. Very long persistence on sweet cinnamon aromas.
