Cradled in the heart of the sweet rolling Tuscan hills in Montepulciano, La Ciarliana embodies a lifelong dream. Named after an intimate and deeply suggestive chapel nestled in the vineyards surrounding the estate, whose bell tower has inspired the family run winery’s logo, it preserves the long ancient wine making tradition that in Montepulciano dates back till the Etruscan eve. Vigna Scianello, the most charming vineyard of the winery, extends over an area of 4.5 hectares, where top-quality Sangiovese grape is grown. Using these vines, La Ciarliana produces high-quality red wines under the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG status Vigna 'Scianello', the Cru of the estate. At La Ciarliana, the staff uses only non-invasive methods in the vineyards, respecting the nature and biodiversity of the region. During the harvesting season, grapes are picked manually, and only the best bunches are moved to the cellar for destemming, soft crushing and fermentation.

It is full and intense with ripe fruit, lots of spices and even more balsamic notes. Aromatic herbs and Mediterranean scrub, cocoa and dried flowers. On the palate it is very good, full-bodied, dry and enveloping. Great structure, with freshness and above all intense tannins. Harmonious and tasty, it has a long persistence.
