Veuve Clicquot is one of Champagne's best known producers, and has been a consistent seller since it was founded in 1772. Pinot Noir has dominated over Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier in this blend from its inception. The house famously invented the process of riddling, which removed the dead yeast cells and gave the finished wines a clear appearance. In 1805, Madame Clicquot unexpectedly became a young widow. At just 27 years old, with skill and grace, she took the reins of the champagne House founded in Reims by her late husband’s family in 1772. In 2015, the cellars were listed as a Unesco World Heritage site. Today, Veuve Clicquot is owned by luxury giant Louis Vuitton Möet Hennessy (LVMH).

La Grande Dame - top wine of the house is a vintage champagne first created in 1972 in honor of Madame Clicquot, produced from a blend of eight grand cru vineyards.

For this new vintage of La Grande Dame, master of color Paola Paronetto meets the expression of Veuve Clicquot’s excellence with an exclusive collaboration.

This solar vintage, while elegant and precise, offers fresh minerality with light floral notes of jasmine and acacia on the nose, which evolve into fruity notes of pear and clementine. As for the first sip, it envelops the palate with a delightfully subtle, silky texture.
