Château Giscours is a well-regarded wine estate in the Margaux appellation of the Haut-Médoc region just north of Bordeaux city. It was rated as a third growth in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification and, since the 1990s, it has moved from being a Merlot-dominant wine to a more long-lived blend, typically of 75 percent Cabernet Sauvignon.
The exceptional terroir of Château Giscours blooms on 83 hectares of vines, in the heart of a beautiful Margaux appellation. Permanent care is provided to the vine during the seasons and the plot selection is constantly refined thanks to important investments in the vineyard. Raised in oak barrels of high quality, the wine acquires over the months its complexity.
Just like Château Giscours, second wine is designed and thought out in the vineyard in the spring by the technical team. This reflection then continues in the cellar so that its full identity and elegance are revealed.
With a vibrant color, this Sirène 2017 presents floral and cherry notes. This fruity aspect is enhanced by a spicy touch on the finish, with aromas of black fruits and tobacco, brought by the Cabernet Franc.
A wine of great finesse with a satin texture that will be appreciated today and for several years to come.
