The family of fine temperament and steadfast work ethic expanded the estate and honed their method. That is what imbues Lheraud cognac with its singular style, which harnesses the past to shine in the present. Today's owners - Andrée and Guy Lheraud - focus on producing Cognac strictly on a traditional basis, and continue to work tirelessly to introduce their products to more countries and communities around the world.

At 48° ABV, the Cognac Lhéraud Vintage 1979 Petite Champagne is a powerful offering from this artisanal Cognac House. It is made from Ugni Blanc grape varieties, and as the name suggests, it is a vintage Cognac from the Petite Champagne terroir from 1979 - in other words, it really is a bit of history. This 1979 vintage Cognac is a fine example of craftsmanship. Petite Champagne has a more compact chalky soil than the Grande Champagne cru, but still produces exceptional Cognacs with a long finish.

Very beautiful amber color. Pronounced aromas on the nose, which is felt especially dried fruits and woody notes. Pleasantly bitter on the palate, this cognac bursts with notes of chocolate and vanilla. It has a long and warming finish. 

For those who like power, try it neat - perhaps letting it warm gently in your hand. It's also delicious over ice and pairs wonderfully with strong coffee or a favorite cigar.
