Macula Aglianico

Vini Vernice is a small artisan winery based in Campania, focused on producing limited-batch wines from native regional grape varieties. The producer works mainly with traditional Campanian grapes, including some lesser-known local varieties, aiming to preserve and highlight the area’s viticultural heritage. Their wines are typically terroir-driven, coming from inland volcanic and hilly vineyards, and are made in relatively small quantities with a modern but region-respecting approach.

Deep ruby red with slight garnet reflections, this Aglianico shows a structured and expressive profile with aromas of black cherry, plum, and blackberry, alongside floral hints of violet and subtle earthy notes. With aeration, it develops secondary layers of spice, leather, tobacco, and light cocoa. On the palate it is dry, full-bodied, and firmly structured, with high but well-integrated acidity and solid tannins typical of Aglianico. The texture is dense yet balanced, leading to a long, persistent finish marked by dark fruit, spice, and a distinct mineral, slightly smoky character reflecting the volcanic soils of Campania.
