Micaela Moscatel

Bodegas Barón was founded by Manuel Barón Fernández in 1895 who acquired some old soleras. Manuel Barón’s wife had a much older family history in sherry though, so we could say Barón’s history goes back almost 400 years already. Today, ten generations later, the company is owned by Jose Rodriguez Jiménez. It is located in the barrio alto of Sanlúcar, where they store nearly 10.000 barrels of wine.

Made from the Moscatel grape, a variety with a pronounced floral and fruity character. Moscatel Micaela embodies the tradition and craftsmanship of Jerez wines and offers lovers of sweet wines an excellent choice. It is a tasteful and aromatic wine that stimulates the senses and is a pleasure to drink.

The wine has a clear, golden color and reveals an enchanting aroma of flowers, citrus fruits, honey and ripe grapes. On the palate, Moscatel Micaela offers a luscious and sweet taste experience. It has notes of ripe grapes, dried fruit, honey and hints of exotic spices. The wine has a full body, soft acidity and a long, sweet aftertaste.
