Bodega Norton is an Argentian wine estate of Mendoza. Over the past 125 years, it has grown notoriety for its Malbec and Malbec-based red wines and today, is an interntionally well-known Argentine producer. The estate was founded in 1895 by Edmund Palmer Norton who imported vines from France. Since 1989, it has been owned by Austrian Gernot Langes-Swarovski of the famous cut-crystal company.
As the iconic wine from Bodega Norton, Gernot Langes bears the name of its owner. This wine is made with a careful selection of the best Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes from Bodega Norton's oldest vineyards. This unique blend is aged in French oak barrels for 16 months and then in the bottle for another 14 months. Each of the 4,988 numbered bottles of Gernot Lange expresses the spirit and vision of the winery.
Intense, dark ruby red color. Complex and elegant aromas reflex the character of this wine, that includes red fruit, spice and minerality. The wine is dominated by the velvety and harmonious tannins coming from the Malbec, complex black fruit that persist in a long and vibrate tasting.
